Is there more to life than this?  Who is Jesus?  Why did Jesus die?  How can I have faith?  Why and how should I pray?  Why and how should I read the Bible? How does God guide us?  Who is the Holy Spirit?  What does the Holy Spirit do?  How can I be filled with the Holy Spirit?  How can I make the most of the rest of my life?  How can I resist evil?  Why and how should I tell others?  Does God heal today?  What about the church?

Discuss the answers to these and other important questions in the Alpha Course.  Join the thousands of adults around the world who have found purpose and peace through authentic Christianity.

crazy lovE (francis chan)

“It’s crazy, if you think about it.  The God of the universe loves us with a radical, unconditional, self-sacrificing love. And what is our typical response? We go to church, sing songs, and try not to cuss. God is calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself. Because the answer to religious complacency isn’t working harder at a list of do’s and don’ts - it’s falling in love with God.”

Date: Sundays, 7 - 9 p.m. Beginning April 11 (5 week course, meeting twice/month)

psalm 119 (matt chandler)

Even the most mature believers face dark nights of the soul. During those times, God feels distant, His Word dry, and the vibrant intimacy we knew before seems absent leaving us wondering, “Where is the Lord in this?” In Psalm 119, pastor Matt Chandler aims to introduce viewers to the words of King David who experienced similar seasons of life. Serving as the anchor for the study, Psalm 119 demonstrates the power of God’s Word in the lives of believers and its ability to provide a warm blanket for the soul.

family ties

Genesis 28:14 “Your offspring shall be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south, and in you and your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” (ESV)

We understand that having a young family can sometimes be hectic and leave little time for relationships. Twice a month we will be opening our home for any families with young children to come in and have a time of fellowship together. Bring your children and an appetizer, if you’d like, so that we can get to know one another and build a firmer foundation for our families. While there will be no formal Bible study, we will be opening every evening with prayer and ending the evening with a discussion and/or any prayer requests the group may have. We look forward to getting to know you all!

Pray big: the power of pinpoint prayers

“Why do we settle for weak, vague prayers, couching our requests in words like ‘just be with Bob’ or ‘bless Janet in her time of need?’ God wants us to be bold and direct in our prayers. It’s time to pray big to unleash the power of God in the big and the small things.” Join us as we ask God to grow us in our prayer lives!

In addition to our study, we will plan to go for a walk, have brunch together, or do some other fun things just to get to know each other better.

Mentorship is modelling what Jesus did as he showed His disciples how to live out their faith in the world. Believers in the early church did likewise.  They walked out their faith as they shared life together, encouraging one another in their relationship with God, within the challenges of life.

"Mentoring" is a relationship-based opportunity offering insight and wisdom regarding faith and life to the person desiring it.  Are you struggling in your faith?  Do you find parenting challenging?  Experiencing conflict at work? Wrestling through a challenging time? You may wish to ask someone How did ‘they’ get through this?

Mentorship is a once-per-month, three month commitment. A trustworthy mentor will be prayerfully sought to walk out this challenging time with you.  The goal is to encourage and strengthen you so that your relationship with God becomes stronger.
